IBM Technology Day 28^th of March 2009

The “IBM Technology Day” was organized in the Department of Computer Science on 28^th of March 2009, Saturday. It was an initiative taken by the Head of the Department Prof. B I Khodanpur to create awareness about the latest technologies used in the field of Information Technology. The initiative was successful with support from our alumni Mr.Bharath Raj B K, an ex-student of Dept. of CSE, RVCE who is currently working in IBM as a Software Engineer. He is also the University Co-relations Manager for RVCE in IBM.

Dignitaries from IBM Mr. Girish Venkatachaliah, Bharath Raj B K, Mr.Shrinivas Kulkarni, Dr. Chiranjib Sur, Mr. Navjot S Bhogal impressed the audience with their excellent talk.

Technical Lecture on "Embedded Design Tips & Tricks" by Mr. Tyagaraj.C on 13^th March 09.

Mr. Tyagaraj. C. (2005 passed out student) has delivered a Technical lecture on "Embedded Design Tips & Tricks" to the prefinal students of VI Sem I.T on 13.03.09.

He is presently working as a Software Engineer in Mphasis an EDS company, Global village, Bangalore.

Alumni Get-Together on 24^th Oct 08.

Mr. P.G.R Sindhia initiated a get-togther of the Alumni - with their spouses.

Prof. Holla graced the occassion. Alumni members participated in large numbers. It was a delight to hear from Mr. Holla about the happenings at the college when Mr. Sindhia was a student.

It was a delight for the ladies to learn from the Princi of the pranks played by their husbands - in their teens with a budding mustache.

Alumni Association looks forward to more such enthusiastic participation from all the members and is thankful to Mr. Sindhia and family for hosting the event and taking the initiative to organise the event.
